Solar Consumer Protection Guide

The Consumer Protection Guide (CPG) will be required for all new project submissions starting 10/1/2019. The Document is intended to educate California Consumers on how to purchase solar. For this reason, the CPG must be the first agreement signed by the homeowner to verify that the homeowner is educated on how to purchase solar.

• The CPG must be the first document signed or you will have to resign all documents!

• Currently the CPG is only required for homeowners within the service area of one of the following Utility Companies:

  • Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E)

  • Southern California Edison (SCE)

  • San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E)
