Creating Calendar Events
Create Events for a single meeting or reoccurring check-in with the team members you need to connect with. If the meeting is virtual be sure to add a zoom link to the event.
On your computer, open Google Calendar.
Optional: If you want to add guests to your event, on the left click Search for people and start typing the names of your guests.
In the top left corner, click Create .
Add a title to the event, and any event details.
At the top of the page, click Save.
Add a Zoom Link
When creating the event click the dropdown under video conferencing and select Zoom Meeting. A Zoom link will be added to the calendar event for everyone invited to have access to when the meeting time comes.
Schedule the Best Time for Everyone
Keeping your calendar updated can be a huge time saver when it comes to booking new meetings. Rather than going back and fourth with someone to find a mutually good time to meet, simply search their name in the "Meet with..." box on the left side of the screen.
After selecting their name you will see their calendar events in your calendar view so that you can find the best opening.
Best Practices
Check your calendar at the start of every workday.
Respond to event invitations with Yes / No / Maybe to alert other attendants of possible conflicts ahead of time.
